Lots of people want to find success as an online writer or blogger, but most fail. There’s no shortage of tips and tricks and hacks out there to titillate your imagination. I’m not going to lie, we may be in the golden age of online writing right now because writers can find readers and make money in ways undreamed of before.

Right now, you can start writing on platforms like Medium, Quora, or Twitter and take advantage of their built-in audiences. You can reach millions of people by putting your thoughts in writing and having the guts to hit publish. But so many aspiring writers don’t make it past the first few months of writing before they start blaming algorithms or platform changes for their lack of views.

I know that pain firsthand. But the problem is not with your chosen platform. It is a problem with your perspective. All the tips and tricks and hacks in the world won’t help if you don’t have the key ingredients to help you find success: love and patience.
