Here we are again, at the end of another year. Chances are, you’re still ruminating on past mistakes and the things that happened to you.
The thing is, we all can let move on any time we want. Unfortunately, most of us don’t do it because moving on is an act of betrayal.
That’s right — betrayal.
The reason it’s so difficult to move on is because you have to betray your past. It’s scary, and it feels wrong. But this kind of betrayal is a natural part of growth.
How do you betray your past? By changing your story about whatever happened to you.
Naming Your ‘Really Bad Thing’
Stuff happens in life, most of which is out of our control.
The hardest thing after a loss, heartbreak, or failure is finding your feet again.
Everybody has at least one story of a really bad thing that happened in their past. Let’s call it an RBT for short.
Your RBT could be anything:
- A breakup
- Business failure
- Abuse
- Divorce
