I’m back.
Hey, that’s all Michael Jordan had to say at a press conference when he returned to basketball after a stint in minor league baseball. So why wouldn’t it work for me?
I’m clearly as awesome as Michael Jordan.
Anyway.
Why don’t things work out the way you plan? Just when things start going your way, something big is bound to happen.
I think it’s a test, sent to you to test whether you’re ready to move on to the next level. It’s a simple pass-fail.
I had my best month writing on Medium last month with some real breakthroughs in readership–for which I’m extremely grateful. Then my computer crashed.
Okay, it has been limping along for a little while and I just kept hoping the issue would resolve itself.
It didn’t.
The guy at the Apple store told me it could be fixed with a simple repair but wouldn’t you know it, the repair didn’t work. So guess who got a new computer. Moi.
I didn’t publish anything while my computer was in the shop because we all know the Medium app doesn’t work like the actual website when it comes to publishing. I wrote a lot, so I’ve got some great stuff lined up.
Thanks for hanging with me.
But here’s the deal, things happen that you can’t prevent. My computer was bound to die sometime, what did it matter if it was last week or a year from now. It’s what you do with the unexpected that determines whether or not you pass the test.
Stay tuned–I’m excited about what’s coming.
Best,
Kyle
