I had that quote in mind when I wrote this part. I've always heard it was from Hemingway: “It is easy to write. Just sit in front of your typewriter and bleed.” But who knows?

When YOU bleed on your writing it creates authenticity.

What I'm trying to communicate is that inauthenticity bleeds through and is as obvious to readers as red blood on white paper.
