How to Create a Life Doing Work You Love
A roadmap for smart, curious people
In 2017, I had to shut down the non-profit I’d started and ran.
I traded a meaningful job that I loved, for a traditional 9–5 that I hated.
I was miserable, scared, and lonely. I was surrounded by people whose whole lives revolved around surviving until the weekend, or to their next vacation. It all felt meaningless.
But working around those people (and many of them were great folks), I learned something important.

Nobody is coming to save you.
No matter how much you dream of a better tomorrow, it’s not just going to appear for you. Unless you learn the skills necessary to get where you want to go, your ideal future will remain a fantasy.
But if you invest in yourself, you can make your life much better.
