7 Cold Hard Truths About Writing on Medium

It’s time to face some facts about writing on Medium.

I’ve been writing on this platform regularly now for a year and a half. I came in at the tail end of the “Golden Age” of the Medium Partner Program when it was still possible to make $10k a month. Those days are gone for now.

If you’re here to cash in on the gold rush you may have missed that boat. But you can get something better.

Yes, you can still get paid a nice little sum every month for your writing. But you can also gain exposure. Now, if you want to be a writer, exposure is extremely valuable to you. If all you want is money, exposure probably isn’t that appealing.

I’ve spent a lot of time on this platform writing and learning what works. I am not a master of this platform nor do I claim to be. But I have figured out a few things that are working right now based on my experience and studying this platform.
