So, you want to write more, but you don’t have time.
I get it. You’re busy with a job, family, and other obligations. You can’t pack one more thing into your daily schedule — even if that thing is something you love.
Several years ago I read Stephen King’s classic book, On Writing. In it, he said something that’s stuck with me. “Life isn’t a support system for art. It’s the other way around.”
In other words, don’t expect life to make time for your creativity. If you want to write, it’s up to you to find the time.
I’ve been in your position.
When I started writing online in 2020, I had two kids under five, a commute, and a full-time job. If I was going to write, I’d have to make time.
Finding time isn’t easy. But if you make hard decisions now, you’ll get bigger rewards in the future.
