If you type “How to be happy” into Google you’ll get about 3.9 billion results. That’s billion, with a B.
Everyone is offering advice on how to be happy. Which means a lot of people are searching for advice on how to be happy. So, there must be a lot of unhappy people out there.
Instead of writing a boring article about how to find happiness, how about one on how to be unhappy? After all, sometimes you can’t find what you’re looking for until you find its opposite.
Here are four ways to guarantee your unhappiness. If you want to be happy, do the opposite.
1. Complain
“Never complain, never explain.” -Benjamin Disraeli
Complaining is the bread and butter of conversations. It’s so easy, anyone can do it.
It’s much easier to talk about things that we don’t like than it is to take action and actually do something about them.
Complaining doesn’t solve anything. Unhappy people complain, happy people take action.
I know what you’re thinking: It’s no use trying to change things around here, things are the way they are. Maybe. Or, maybe no one has led them to change. Maybe that someone should be you.
